Fast Talk

Terms of Use

Updated October 27, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Fast Talk for the Fast Talk apps for Mac and iPhone, the website at fast.talk and the services they use (together, “Fast Talk”). By using Fast Talk, you agree to them. If you use Fast Talk for an organization, you agree for that organization.

Using Fast Talk

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Fast Talk on devices you own or control, under these terms. Fast Talk for Mac requires macOS 26.5 or later.

Fast Talk includes software and services from other companies, such as speech recognition by Soniox. We may update Fast Talk to fix problems, improve it or keep it secure.

Your content

What you dictate, record and write is yours. You let us process it only as needed to run Fast Talk for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don’t sell your content.

Recording other people

You’re responsible for following the law wherever you and the people you record are. That includes telling people and getting their consent before you record a call or a conversation. Fast Talk shows when it’s recording, and automatic recording is off until you turn it on.

Transcripts and AI results

Transcripts, clean-up, summaries, action items and answers are produced by speech and language models and can contain mistakes. Check anything important before you rely on it or send it. Fast Talk keeps the original transcript of every dictation so you can restore it.

Plans, payment and renewal

  • Free includes 5 minutes of dictation a day on each device, with a shared limit of 50 minutes a day for all devices on one network.
  • Pro on Mac is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a lifetime license. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. If you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Lifetime is a one-time purchase of a Pro license for Fast Talk for Mac, including updates and the speech service, for as long as we offer Fast Talk for Mac. To use Pro on iPhone too, sign in there with the email your license was sent to.
  • Team is priced per person. Each seat activates Fast Talk on one Mac, and you can move a seat by deactivating it on one Mac and activating it on another.
  • Pro on iPhone is an auto-renewing App Store subscription billed by Apple. It renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store settings.

Prices are shown in US dollars and may vary by country. Taxes may apply. If we change the price of a subscription, we’ll tell you before it renews at the new price.

Refunds

If a Mac purchase isn’t right for you, write to [email protected] within 14 days and we’ll refund it in full. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

Fair use

Pro has no daily limit for normal use by one person. To keep Fast Talk fast for everyone, we may limit use that’s automated, abusive or shared across people, such as scripts or a license used by several people.

Things you agree not to do

  • Use Fast Talk to break the law or violate anyone’s rights, including their privacy.
  • Copy, resell or sublicense Fast Talk, or get around its licensing or limits.
  • Reverse engineer Fast Talk’s services, or use them outside the apps.
  • Overload, disrupt or try to gain unauthorized access to Fast Talk or its servers.

Other companies’ services

Fast Talk works with services and apps from other companies, such as iCloud and the apps you dictate into. Their own terms apply to them, and we aren’t responsible for them.

Beta features

Features marked as beta may change, behave unexpectedly or be discontinued. If you use a beta version, please report problems so we can fix them.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Fast Talk at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. The sections on your content, AI results, disclaimers and liability continue after these terms end.

Disclaimers

Fast Talk is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that Fast Talk will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim about Fast Talk is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. These limits don’t apply where the law doesn’t allow them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Fast Talk’s publisher is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you’re a consumer in the EU or the UK, you keep the protection of the laws of the country you live in and can bring claims in its courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here and update the date above, and if a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Fast Talk after that, you accept the new terms.
